ok this can easilly be done in setiboinc like so, cd /slots/0 then grep prog state.sah and you'll get something like 0.558977 or something like that.. Now for Climate prediction, theres so many files to look through and i don't want to look through all of them since i do not want to accidently type in something that doesn't belong in it since i like using pico to look at the file in question, does anyone on here know what file i should use and if its not prog, what is the search pattern i should look for? thanks...

I think I may have solved this one entirely my own... but if anyone really knows, confirm for me if I am right or wrong. this is how, cd /where ever your boinc client is/ then grep fraction_done client_state.xml any other input is also greatly appreciated... thanks to anyone... :)

That's pretty much it. When the BOINC 4.6x (or higher) client is finally released, you won't need to worry about that anymore because you'll have a nice GUI like those Windows people. In the meantime, you might want to try the SETI@BOINC Tracker beta. I dunno, I use my own BOINCprog under Linux, so I'm not really familiar with the Mac Add-ons.
