Hi Joe,

Tracing through your account details I see you've got 2 computers and each has failed to download 20 models because you're running BOINC development version 4.24 (e.g. here).

That version of BOINC requires all of the downloaded files to be signed but the current CPDN server software doesn't sign the 3 zip files it downloads. You either need to revert to BOINC 4.19 or disconnect from the project until the server software has been updated.

They have to be fast, because afaik they will change to the new Boinc whithin this month.

I don't know why I've got WU #2 for my 4.22, but it was OK, and has trickled twice since DL.

BOINC doesn't require the WUs to be signed. The signatures are only checked after download, so if you've already downloaded the applications using BOINC 4.19 or earlier you should be OK running the development versions.

i've upgraded the server software so all the zip files are now signed.
This also required a new app release now 4.10

Tolu,

What does this mean? Does it mean we have to download the new app release now? Before upload of the model? Before download of the next model? What is required of us?

Thanks.

this has no negative implications.
its only necessary for users running the latest BOINC core client.
- which checks the signatures of the download files.
doesn't affect a client already in progress.
