hadsm34.04 named 2wvu_100157301_1 reached 100% in mid Febuary (last trickle 16-02-05)this was using BOINC 4.13 the progamme is requesting more work and no schedulers respond. I have downloaded BOINC 4.19 but this has not made any difference. I have checked both my firewalls and BOINC is on the pass list, I have also tried changing the port number to 80 instead of 0. Nothing, HELP please. I forgot to say I have a Pentium 4 running at 2.53GHz and my OS is Windows XP Home.

Rod,

If you go to your Account data page, then click on your host ID, you'll see that you have 142 listed under results.
The vast majority are wu that you have been sent, and never processed.
If you never received them, then you may have a comms problem.

As for not sending trickles, there is a problem with leaving them all until the model is finished.
It was recently found that the server won't accept them if there are more than about 40 (+ -) in the
climateprediction.net folder.

If this is the case, MOVE the excess to somewhere else, do an Update, MOVE some more back, Update again, etc.
See Thyme Lawn's 4 posts in<a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=1887"> this</a> thread.

Finally, BOINC V4.25 is now public. This improves (! ?) things in some areas.
You can download it from Berkeley <a href="http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php"> here.</a> It uses 'signed' files, so you will get a new app version:
hadsm V4.10 with the next wu. IF you can fix the download problem.

Repost here with more info, so someone can help furthur.

Les

Thanks for your suggestions. I downloaded BOINC 4.25 and it started without any problems, but appeared to make no difference for 4 hours, then received a message from the Server: Server can't open Database. Project is down.

I was away from home on Saturday night, so was not monitoring it. When I returned on Sunday evening I found that the completed work appeared to have been uploaded, new work had been received and the programme was working away at it.

So I am back in business.

Thanks

Rod
