My CPID is not updating correctly. The one shown on my profile page is still the original one my account was created with and the one being exported with stats is something different. Unfortunately neither of these match the CPID of my other projects.

Any help, advice or timescales appreciated.

I've read through that link and others and found them generally inconclusive on either the problem or a solution. There may have been one buried but for those who are also struggling here is a simple solution:

The problem
-----------
CPDN does not update it's CPID (internal or external) to match other BOINC projects.

Solution 1
----------
If you are just starting with BOINC then create your CPDN account first the others should then use the CPID from CPDN.

Solution 2
----------
If, like me, you didn't (seti was my first) then it's a bit more complicated. For each machine you are using:
- Shutdown BOINC completely. I'm running as a service so this involved stopping the BOINC manager and stopping the Service (Control Panel-&gt;Admin Tools-&gt;Services).
- Open the "client_state.xml", found in the BOINC install directory, in any suitable editor.
- Locate the &lt;cross_project_id&gt; for the "climateprediction.net" project and copy the value.
- Locate the &lt;cross_project_id&gt; for any other participating projects and replace the value with the one you copied from CPDN.
- Save the file and restart BOINC. Update each project.

Notes
-----
DO NOT copy the file, it contains other information specific to each machine!!! It can be a pain if you have lots of machines, but if you do it properly it works.

Finaly, a quick note on the displayed CPIDs: The value you copy will be shown as is on CPDN but Seti, Einstein and Protein Predictor (not sure about the others yet) will still show a different value, this is okay. If you want to check, "update" the project then recheck it's &lt;cross_project_id&gt; in the "client_state.xml" file.

I followed your advice on option 2, now all CPID's on my pc's are the same across all projects(this is the internal CPID), and as you mentioned, they are the same on CP site but different on SETI/Einstein sites (I understand this to be due to SETI/Einstein are showing the external CPID and CP shows the internal). So far sounds good... I'm guessing it will take a while for it to filter down to the stats pages tho. Just curious, SETI/Einstein are reporting the external CPID (derived from hash between the internal and e-mail) and CP is reporting just the internal CPID to the stats pages.... how does the stats pages know to combine them?

I have read your replies here, an i just want to make sure I do the right thing.
All my stats show up together with the exception of CPDN. it is the only one with a CPID different than the others.
In this case would I copy the CPID from one of the other projects and replace the one on CPDN.
