Not really sure why you aren't getting work. You had 1 model successfully complete then 5 failures so you may want to try to solve that first. You could try the stabilty tests suggested at: http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2126 or some maintenance http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2124 Checking your antivirus or other software is compatible may also be sensible http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2895 particularly if you may have changed something like that around 18 Mar. |

Haven't changed any antivirus or firewall software for 6 months or more. I'll see what happens over the next couple of days as I still have plenty of work from other projects at the moment. |

5 certainly shouldn't be enough to do that. I have seen other people with 100 failures in a row. I don't think it should make any difference, but you never know so try merging the computers you have listed. I've had what appears to be the same problem: 23/07/2005 02:01:00|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 23/07/2005 02:01:00|climateprediction.net|Requesting 8640 seconds of work, returning 0 results 23/07/2005 02:01:27|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 23/07/2005 02:01:27|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work sent 23/07/2005 02:01:27|climateprediction.net|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results) 23/07/2005 02:01:27|climateprediction.net|No work from project 23/07/2005 02:01:28|climateprediction.net|Deferring communication with project for 5 hours, 2 minutes, and 57 seconds Note that it reports "reached" a daily quota of 1 results". Actually, I haven't created any results! When I tried to get into this forum, I was asked for my ID. I gave it, but it wasn't recognised. So I used Boinc Manager/Projects/Detach to eliminate the project, then used the shortcut from my original account confirmation to set up the account again. It gave me the same (the original)ID. But this time, the ID got me into this forum. So I'm hoping the problem is solved. The downloading is still going on as I type. Good luck! |

This is what I got: 23/07/2005 03:33:54|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work sent 23/07/2005 03:33:54|climateprediction.net|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 2 results) 23/07/2005 03:33:54|climateprediction.net|No work from project 23/07/2005 03:33:55|climateprediction.net|Deferring communication with project for 3 hours, 44 minutes, and 0 seconds Note that it's the same theme as before but this time it tells me "reached a daily quota of 2 results". Well, sorry to say that I'll have to abandon this project until the bugs are fixed. My Boinc Manager has Seti, Predictor and Einstein all doing fine anyway. |

Fred, it seems you were hit by the problem discussed with solutions on <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=2920">this thread</a>. As far as we can figure out it is a BOINC problem rather than a problem caused by this project. _______________________________ Visit <a href="http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Climateprediction_FAQ">BOINC WIKI</a> for help And join <a href="http://www.boincsynergy.com/">BOINC Synergy</a> for all the news in one place. |
