I recently uploaded a timestep and the work stated a computation error. Now there is no work unit and when I update it says \"not requesting more work or returning result\" This is the 2nd unit that ended with a computation error. What does this mean and how do I obtain a new unit?? |

You have 5 WUs that have errored out three on download and two while processing, so I suggest you run one or both of the following programs to check for stability... Prime95 Torture test Memtest86, If you are running other projects and BOINC feels it has enough work it will not request more until it has balanced the debt.... BOINC Wiki |

I\'m also not getting any work downloaded to either of my clients. I\'m running BOINC on a windows XP box and a Mandriva 2006 box. Neither of them are getting work. Has been a problem for several weeks now. Overall, the BOINC website is pretty obtuse as is the account creation / management. It could really benefit from usability engineering. Any help appreciated. I\'m also not getting any work downloaded to either of my clients. I\'m running BOINC on a windows XP box and a Mandriva 2006 box. Neither of them are getting work. Has been a problem for several weeks now. Has anything changed with Firewall or Proxy settings. Did this happen when you upgraded to BOINC 5.2.13? What version were you running before? |

I upgraded trying to solve this problem. It sits there doing no work saying in status \'scheduler request pending\'. I don\'t have any firewall preventing outbound requests from either of these computers. They\'re sitting behind a typical linksys router on my cable modem. No proxy is configured or needed. Clicking on the update suspend reset project buttons don\'t do anything, either. Any suggestions that might resolve this issue are appreciated. Seth |
