I\'ve adjusted my disk usage preferences on the website, and selected \"update\" on the BOINC manager, but when I run the project, my CPU usage jumps up to over 70%. What can I do to reduce CPU usage for climateprediction? I\'d like to run this in the background without my processor fan kicking into high gear. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

BOINC is designed to use all available spare cpu cycles. Howvere, if you want to use less, use ThreadMaster. You should be able to find it with Google.

Thanks so much for the helpful (and timely) suggestion. I\'ll definitely look into that. :)
