> Bit of a triple milestone,
50,000 Cobblestones for ClimatePrediction
200,000 for Einstein
1,000,000 Cobblestones for all Boinc projects.
Will get 400,000 Cobblestones in Rosetta in a week or so.

Here\'s a mix-and-match triple milestone.

A day or so ago I hit 30k on Einstein,
Yesterday afternoon BOINC@AUSTRALIA moved into 29th position BOINC Combined,

and last night I completed a sulphur WU !!!!!!

Congratulations, John, and best of luck with your first Transient Coupled Model (TCM).

TCM are very long -- and regular backups are good insurance. (Case in point: a pair of Models on one of my machines was taken down by the new M$ IE7 upgrade. Four and a half days of rerun from the backup, in progress, [grumble, grumble] but it saved about a month\'s work.)

Is this a new virus that\'s going around?

Dunno, I haven\'t seen anything on it.

The irony of my attempted upgrade is that I don\'t use IE --> except for one time on a new build: to download Firefox. (M$ uses it though, to download upgrades/bug fixes.)

......
Queuing intermediate upload for CPDN/BOINC: cpdnout16.zip
Phase over, going into post_processing()
Post-processing successful!
Finished a complete run, now you can upload!
Cleaning up graphics data...
Detaching shared memory...

Just finished my first coupled model today (after a spinup)
3505 hours on a P4 3Ghz Linux machine...:o)

Félicitations, Arnaud!

My machine\'s worked for 4211 hours and has nearly completed 60%. Both the computer and the model deserve a prize for longevity, maybe me too as a cruncher....

Merci.
Les utilisateurs ayant des machines lentes méritent vraiment un coup de chapeau: c\'est un vrai marathon !!!

Thanks Jim :o)

Of course, I returned the compliment to you, as you\'re a great contributor to this project (probably several coupled models already finished)

Merci, Arnaud.

Yes, twelve. (Had to go to my Results list and count them because I wasn\'t sure.)

Thirteen more in progress, ranging from 21% to 91% complete, on six machines. The \"extra\" Run is due to a \"memory fault\": connecting without resetting the \"No new work\" flag. (They\'re ALL in Windoze, a switch for me because my machines, with one exception, ran SuSE Linux for most of CPDN\'s life --> and they\'re still dual-boot, in case the next CPDN version is more efficient in Linux.)

Anyway, all that stats mean to me is that the boxes are working day-to-day. Beyond that, I made a commitment to CPDN and and am merely living it out. I do celebrate completed Runs, though, mine and everyone else\'s.

In the past week, two of my machines finished their first coupled models. 160 years of data crunched, uploaded and reported. The 3rd machine has about 14 days left, all on 5.08.

I will be starting up new models after the 3rd machine gets it\'s model in, so in about 2 weeks.

Over 20 million cpdn model years completed!

http://www.climateprediction.net/newsb.php?id=0

Carl is now counting models that have reached 2050 as completed because they don\'t need to have reached 2080 to be really useful to the Oxford researchers. Reaching 2080 is still of course the ideal.

Completed HadCM3L Transient Runs
8,433
BOINC - 3,733
BBC - 4,700

Between 35 and 50 models-to-2080 have been uploaded daily in January to Oxford (BBC + cpdn). Yesterday\'s figure for full transient runs to 2080, ie the last total before Carl\'s change, was 4702. Well done, crunchers!

The number of trickling machines is also up, from 51637 on 6 Jan to 53712 today.

Latest cpdn boinc stats are here:
