Hi, Pat, welcome to CPDN.

Re. the Win98 machine: CPDN no longer supports this OS -- and Models will crash.

More information is necessary to help debug the problem with the Sempron machine. Look in the boinc folder for a file stdoutdae. (It can be opened with a text editor.) It contains accumulated entries from boinc\'s \"Messages\" tab. If there is anything which looks like an error message, please copy/paste it and surrounding lines here.
