That\'s tragic, Dimitris.

Do you have a recent backup of the boinc folder? (Fingers crossed.)

Honor to you for sticking with a Model that long.

Hi Tania,

I think you were bitten by the bad work unit bug. This occurred with work units generated between Dec 9 and Dec 22/23 where they would fail 20% through the work unit, at the end of phase 1. Despite the failure, the work unit was valuable to the project scientists as they needed the first phase results for future science.

The -161 errors that are reported are really somewhat misleading BOINC errors, it expects there to be five phases, but only one completed so it is complaining about that.

If you open the file yabsd.out in the

projects/climateprediction.net/\"modelname\" or
projects/climateprediction.net/\"modelname\"/dataout

directory in WordPad for that model, you may see more clues about why it failed at the end that file.

Hi, my name is Luís from Portugal and like Tania I’m having problems uploading my first unit.
It finished on the 31st of January and since then has been trying to upload the results without success. I don’t have any error messages, only the following:

It’s a unit from the hadsm3 4.12 application, which finished well within the deadline (18-05-2006).
My BOINC version is 4.25. Could it be from this, or some kind of upload server problem?

Thank you for your help.

Can you unhide your computers, please, so that we can look for error messages on your model page.

Yes, this was the bad work unit message. There was no problem with your computer that caused this, just one of the bad batch of work units. They should be OK now so good luck crunching your next model.

And the unit no longer appears in the Work Tab. Meanwhile it left about 350MB of data under its directory… But in the results page the Outcome appears as “Success” and the “Client State” as “Done”.

Can I safely delete the directory regarding this unit?

Thanks for your help.

I\'m not sure what the messages are saying, but the data seems to be on the server.

And, yes, you can delete the model\'s folder if you wish. The data is left there for people who wish to study their model. Some people keep them on cds. It\'s your choice.
