I have a P4 with HT, but at most the program only uses 50% of available processing power. Since this computer has large blocks of time that it sits idle, that\'s alot of wasted computing volume.

How do you set it up so that BOINC uses the full 100% of your processor power? Or if that decreases overall functionality, how to set it to 80-90%?

You can set the general preferences for your account (see the menu on the left)to use more than one processor. BOINC regards HT as being 2 processors. You will find that each WU runs more slowly, but you will get more out of the computer than running one WU at a time.

At the moment BOINC cannot be set to regulate the amount of processing power more precisely. Others will adivise on the pros and cons of Threadmaster, but you will probably find that running two models unrestricted poses no problems. You could always tell BOINC to suspend when the computer was in use if necessary.
