I checked the moemry usage when I suspend ans when I run BOINC. The difference is around 62 MB.
That\'s a lot when running Windows XP with 256 MB SDRAM, and the system gets slower when I run climateprediction models dur to swapping. Is this memory usage normal? Can it be tuned down?

256M is bare minmum for DC projects. For cpdn, you really need 512M min. It\'s a BIG program, and very memory hungry.

just look in task manager under processes, you will see that a sulphur model uses about that much memory

I have run XP with 256 of ram it is excruciatingly slow as XP is running to the page file all the time, you must be a very patient person............................
