i have just completed my first full work unit, and now have crashed 3 times trying to download the new one:-

Have now exceed my daily quota of 3 results, but suspect the same thing will occur tomorrow.

Am running a P4 ( 3 Gig ) XPPro svce pack2. Bionic 5.2.13 No screensaver.

Hate that error.

Some have had luck starting BOINC in safe mode with networking enabled, downloading the work unit, letting it go to its first save/checkpoint, then exiting, rebooting and running it normally. If you try that, let us know if it works.

The error itself is solved by some by updating their video card drivers. Others have not had luck with that.

Graphics card is a GeForce 6600GT with latest driver, so no options there.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you got it working. Just to be safe, you may want to back up your BOINC folder occasionally (after exiting BOINC), especially right before the end of phases. I\'d hate to see the error come back at the end of phase 1.
