Has anyone tried switching the work from one BOINC to another? I would like to transfer the files from my windows operating system to my linux operating system, since I am about 77% done with a unit for CPDN and I don\'t want to lose that :) If this is possible, is it possible to let windows and linux share the work? Like if I\'m in windows running BOINC and decide to go to linux to run it, could they share it like that? Thanks :D |

Windows to Linux isn\'t possible - you can go from XP to NT, but not XP to Linux. Would a Xen or VMWare windows emulation be possible for the last 25%? I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

No no, you misunderstood me. I prolly should have said it before, but I dual boot Debian and Windows XP. I am trying to go Debian full time, expect to play a game or two. My problem is, I want to use BOINC in linux. I have it set up, but I want to transfer the work unit from my Windows OS to Debian. Sorry for the ambiguity. |

You can use boinc in either, but you can\'t transfer a partly-processed work unit from one to the other. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |
