This REALLY sucks I was just 70 hours away from completing two sulfur models but I thought that the BBC climate thing was different so I installed that also, and now I have no Boinc.... just the BBC Boinc version.... which is not running my sulfur models that were damn near completion... how would I get those back?

This has been posted in various places, but here it is again.

The BBC project uses a \'cut-down\', simplified version of BOINC. This version also uses different words to describe various parts of BOINC, is automated to some extent, stores the programs and files in a different place to normal BOINC, and is not even refered to as BOINC.
All in an attempt to minimise the impact of the world of Distributed Computing on an unsuspecting, and computer illiterate public.
And it hasn\'t worked to well. :(

To get back your old work:
Uninstall the BBC Climate Change Manager, (BOINC).
Re-install your old / preferred version of BOINC.
Restart Boinc.
And Hey Presto! It will be back where it was. Unless you\'ve been fiddling in the mean time.
The BBC progs and data will be in a \'climate change\' folder under programs.

This time, if you want to run the BBC TCM (Transient Coupled Model), use attach to do so, the same as any with other project. (URL is: http://bbc.cpdn.org/)

But! The TCM is now also available right here in good old climateprediction.net :)
I think that it will download instead of a sulphur model, the next time you need a new model.
