There doesn\'t seem to be much point to the various viewing options on the left of the screen as any attempt to select them shuts down the screensaver and returns full control to the user. Since this is exactly how the screensaver is meant to work, why include the option keys?

Yes and doing so stops the screen saver. I agreee woth the original post; why include those options when they don\'t work or can\'t be used? It\'s a waste of time and code.

The keys listed work \'as is\' when using the Show graphics option in BOINC.
When you want to do the same while using the screen saver option, holding down the control key, THEN pressing the listed key is SUPPOSED to do the same.
If it doesn\'t, then you have some sort of problem.

As I NEVER use any screen saver, (it can use up to 50% of the cpu\'s time to create the image), I can\'t help you futher.

I gather that Boinc V5.4.9 has a problem with CTRL+[letter]. At the time the original question was answered, 5.4.9 didn\'t exist.

Note that Boinc is developed seperately to the climate project, at http://boinc.berkeley.edu.

Finally, I\'d support Les\'s suggestion - you\'re better off setting screensaver to blank in your display properties, enable monitor power saving, and \'show graphics\' to see the progress of the model.
