I downloaded BOINC to my Celeron-powered Dell in early January. After a few false starts I have been successfully running the sulphur experiment (51% there). Information on this computer appears in my account under \"view computers\".

A few days later I downloaded to BOINC to my Pentium 4-powered Dell. This has already completed one Sulphur experiment with a second under way. This computer does not appear in my account under \"view computers\".

Have I done something wrong?

If you created a new account for the new computer, then the info would appear on this other account.
If you just attached another computer to your existing account, using the \'existing account\' option and the same user name / password as for the first computer, then the new one SHOULD appear.
Please post again with more info.

And if you only downloaded a sulphur model to it a few days ago, then it can\'t possible have been completed yet. It takes weeks to do this, so it\'s far more likely that the model crashed.

Les,

I started using the second computer in early January. When I attached the computer I downloaded BOINC and recall that I used the same account. I cannot remember the options on the form. Although I was pretty sure of the e-mail address I had used, I tried alternative ones just in case but none were registered.

I definitely have run one complete sulphur model (~1200 CPU hours) on this second computer as it has been running almost 24/7 since early January with little else to compete with it.

Les,

A bit more information. What I described (seeing only my Celeron machine) was when I went to http://www.cpdn.org/ and logged in via the user pages.

On the second machine if I go to the BOINC project tab, select climate prediction project and press the button \"your account\" I get the following warning message

Warning: fopen(../cache/f0/show_user.php_userid%3D146493) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /websites/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/inc/cache.inc on line 198

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /websites/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/inc/cache.inc on line 201

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /websites/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/inc/cache.inc on line 202

If I press the view computers link I get to information on the Pentium 4.

Both sets of account information have the name Roddy.

Go to the participant profiles and do a search and you will find 4 accts under Roddy, 2 have AMDs, 1 has a Celeron and 1 has a P4 2.8, me thinks you have two accts.......

Sorry Roddy,
I got woken up early by my computer rebooting, (successfully), and made the mistake of \'having a quick look at the boards\'.
I misread your post. I thought it said \'A few dyas ago\', rather than \'A few days later\'.

It sure looks like 2 accounts.
If it was me, I\'d stop the 2nd computer, backup the BOINC folder, then detach. Then I\'d re-attach, but using the info from the first computer as I said previously, and not allowing a new model.
Somewhere about here, you\'ll need to click \'No new work\' in Projects.

This is where it gets tricky. You need to copy back some of the files, plus the folders.
You don\'t want the old account_... file(s), because that has info about your 2nd account.

About here would be a good time to re-boot, and see if it\'s got the original account name, a new computer ID, and the saved model name. And if it\'s running OK.

Keep in mind that I\'ve never had to do this, that I\'m working it out as I go, and I\'ve only had one cup of coffee so far. :)

If it\'s not looking good, get back to us.
