Since I installed BOINC on a new PC (ID 396021) in January, it has not fetched any work.

I either get \'Insufficient work;requesting more\' or \'Master file parse failed\'
\'Master page has no schedulers\'
\'Deferring communication......\'

What is the problem? How can I fix it? Else it\'s a bit pointless trying to participate any more.

thanks

Whatever the reason for the earlier failures, the TCM (Transient Coupled Model) now being run requires BOINC version 5.*
Current latest version is 5.2.13

I\'ve upgraded to 5.2.13 and now I get
\"Master file fetch failed\"
\"Too many backoffs - fetching master file\"

so, still no luck.

sounds like a firewall problem if it can\'t get the master file (which is just the web page, so it can get the scheduler address).
