It's possible you cut & pasted the account id wrong? I can't find an entry for your user id in the logs. or perhaps you tried when I had the server down for an upgrade (it was only a few minutes but that could have been when you tried)?

Also when you cut and paste you might get a trailing space on the URL and/or account ID. Either will cause the activation to fail.

I am getting the same error and only just this minute signed up and recieved the email but it says unable to attatch and asks me to check my Id which i have done several times already.

Everyone with the problem: Make sure you use BOINC version 4.05 at minimum. You cannot use BOINC 3.20 or 3.22

Hi -- I'm having the same issue. Just signed up for climateprediction, already had BOINC for setiathome (4.05 -- just downloaded 1/2 hour ago) and it connected to Seti but keeps telling me to check my ID -- I checked for spaces, copy directly from email. Any more ideas?

I also had this problem as well as trying to access this project through my home ISP using the URL http://climateprediction.net. I found that when I connected through URL http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/index.php to access this site and used URL http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/ to connect to the project, things worked. I now have work units and can access this site.
