Hello , after running the same data since 04 , bionc is telling me its 43 days overdue, consider aborting , its still has 476 hours to go ( at the rate it goes about 2 years worth), it has since downloaded a new model/data set , should I just delete the old one ? Have I been wasting my time on something I will never finish and should I just continue with seti/einstein data only?( at least you finish something with them) , this is like a marathon that never finishes ! Yes, abort it.
The slab models are now obsolete, and have been replaced with Coupled Ocean models, the next \'experiment\' in the project.
These are longer, at 160 years, with a single phase, although they are still in 2 parts:
The 1st is hindcast, and the 2nd forecast.

These new models require BOINC version 5.*, (currently 5.2.13), to function.
If you\'re still using a version prior to 4.25, then you must uninstall this version first, with Windows uninstall.

if you look through your models, your recent aborted model was downloaded April 2005

the model you downloaded in 2004 errored out

you now have a dual core processor with your pentiumD so you can run two models simultaneously

to speed things up in your preferences change:

leave applications in memory while pre-empted - YES

check out the BOINC wiki for more information

also remember to do regular backups so that your hard work doesn\'t go to waste in case of power outage etc.......
