every week or so, depending on the length of time my pc is on [usually 15hrs/day] i get one or two messages popup: visual fortran run-time error forrtl: severe (38): error during write, unit 8, file c:\\prog files\\blah blah\\had......\\tmp\\pipe_dummy image pc routine line source hadm3transum_5.0 006ec5ba uk uk uk ---\"----\"------- 006e983c uk uk uk ---\"----\"------- blah blah all same but numbers under \'pc\' are different. any ideas? note: sometimes i don\'t have the boinc mgr running yet in task manager, hadhghhghghgf is still showing. these errors occurred when boinc manager was \'not\' running. i\'ve just run it and all seems to be fine but thought it best to try to find the source of this error in case data is being lost/model is functioning incorrectly... regards Mark Holton |

Hi Mark, there\'s a sticky on the top of this forum (called something like \'fixing -161 and -107... errors\'?), which has some general ideas in it. It could be something like Norton Antivirus\'s automated scan killing the model. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |
