I have been getting the message that I don\'t have enough disk space on my computer to download a CPN model because I don\'t have enough disk space and that I should free somewhere between 1 and 4 GB of storage. However, my drive has around 20 GB free, and my preferences are set to use a maximum of 8 GB of hard disk space and to leave at least 5 free GB. I also have it set to not use more than 50% of my total space and no more than 85% of my virtual memory.

Any suggestions on what do to? I\'ve taken to running SETI in the meantime, but I\'d much rather contribute to the CPN project.

You\'ve been running climate models for quite a while. How much of the BOINC disk space is still used up by old models?
Completed models can be archived to cd/dvd, or deleted if you don\'t want to refer to the data again, and crashed models can also be deleted.

Hi,

Look on the work/tasks tab, you\'ll see one or more models listed and running. Make a note of their names...

Now go into c:\\program files\\boinc\\projects\\climateprediction.net, you should see a list of folders. Some of these folders names will match the running models, and other ones will look similar but be slightly different. You can delete these (with care).

Best to take a backup first, of course...
