why does boinc say i won\'t get new work? did my computer make a sign error or something?

With the lack of information, I\'ll have to use my crystal ball. :)

You\'re last contact was in March, at the end of a sulphur model.
It\'s possible that you have other message lines saying what the problem is, but how about:
You\'re still using a BOINC version 4.*
The new models need version 5.*

From this site\'s download page (to the left of here), you can get 5.2.13; from the Berkeley site, you can get the one which came out yesterday: 5.4.9

For better help, please paste all the messages from your BOINC manager here.

When I\'m testing things out I often click the \'No new work\' button on the manager \'Projects\' tab.

More than once I\'ve forgotten to click \'Allow new work\' when I\'ve finished testing.
