Had my pc crashed, upon restart of Boinc the client_stat.xml was bad. No backup of WU or boinc folder.

If there no way to restart the WU, can the Admin abort the WU on the server for me.

Thank You,
backup lesson Learned.

Hi,

It\'ll automatically abort itself after a while, so no need to do anything :-)

This is good to know.
Who would we tell that this auto abort information should be in the FAQ.

Cheers

It has been over 6 months and no auto abort.
Do I need to contact Admin with a formal request?

Cheers

The \"auto abort\" is when the deadline is reached.
For most of the models, this is one year after being issued.

However, after about 6 weeks with no contact with the model, the server will flag that dataset for possible re-issue. As the model in question was one of a batch whose climate parameters is no longer being investigated, it will have been removed fromn the data pool.
Even the \"set\" of models after the one you had, (cool models, with a sulphur variable active), has been replaced by a new \"set\" (without the sulphur).

All of these matters are automated, and crunchers have no need to do anything about them.
