I recently signed up for the first time only I never got an email with an account key. - I spent some hours trying to get the key sent (it seems the account was created as I couldn\'t use that email address to create another account) and then gave up and created another account via the BOINC client using a second email address which worked just fine. However I would like to use the first email address, which I cant because I dont have either the password or the account key - but the sccount has been created so I cant use the email address - any help would be appreciated :-)

As far as I know, accounts can neither be deleted nor merged.

I\'ve no idea why you didn\'t receive an email, unless it is somehow related to recent Server problems and maintenance.


Anyone else have ideas for this?

Just a quick note to say that I finally got an account key sent to the original email address, all up and going now with my preferred email address so all is hunky dory :-) .... (The only thing is there is now an account that will never get used ... the sign up process could be made a bit more fool proof !)

It has been. As of BOINC V5.* you can use a name/password combination to sign up to all projects.
