When the BOINC screensaver comes on, it now says \"no applications are running.\" (It was working fine for a long time before this.)

And when I open BOINC, I get a BOINC GUI Error message \"Failed to clean up the Windows Sockets Interface.\"

Anyone know what\'s going on????

Thanks

<core_client_version>4.19</core_client_version>

The new CPDN needs BOINC 5.x to run.

Uninstall 4.19, do not delete the directory, install 5.4.9.

Yes, that did it -- Thanks!

Though it does beg the question: how was I supposed to know an upgrade was needed?

There were messages in BOINC from the server that a new version (4.25), was available way back in early 2005, (April? May?), and again in late 2005 when 5.2.8 was released as a stable version.

Also, lots of posts about it in these and the Messages board.
Then, when this new model became available early this year, there were posts about it requiring a 5.* version.

And mass emailing is called \'spam\', so it\'s not an option.
