Hi,

Task manager reports that my one project is only using 48% of my CPUs power. I have a P4 3.2 CPU. Is there any way I can get one project to use 98%?

That is most likely a hyperthreaded CPU. You can do one of two things. Turn off the hyperthreading in BIOS, or run two units at the same time. In most cases running two at the same time yields more work done, by about 10-20%. I have my HT machines running with it on, and the 2.8G will take about 275 days to finish 2, but I also do not just run CPDN, so it gets swapped out every so often.

Cool thanks.

I turned off my HT and now it\'s at 98%. I\'ll have to see if there is any performance difference in my day-2-day computing, but I don\'t think it\'ll be too noticeable.

I understand that running two units may produce more work done in the end, but at this day and time, I\'d rather have a quicker turn over.

Thanks again. :-)
