Downloaded BOINC 5.4.11 for Windows. Stopped the CPDN WU, then exited BOINC Manager. Ran the new BOINC installer, then got the following pop-up:
Did a search, and found BOINC.msi in C:\\WINDOWS\\Downloaded Installations\\{CB91F160-B416-49CE-8DCA-042C4B0B73C9}, which I entered into the \"box below\"; OK. Now I get a new pop-up
Never had any problems with BOINC upgrades before, but this one leaves me stumped. Question: if I completely uninstall my current version 5.4.9, then install 5.4.11 - will I keep all my settings? |

Usually the solution to this problem is to download the old version of the installer and run it to uninstall the old version. Once that is uninstalled then the new version will normally install properly. Your old settings will not be affected. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Thanks! I didn\'t read your message carefully, and did a repair install with the previous version. But that fixed the problem too, and 5.4.11 is now running. |
