I\'ll be finishing a model in a couple of days and I suppose I ought to install the latest version of BOINC before starting another one.

If I remember rightly from all those months ago I had a couple of minor irritations when I upgraded from 4.19(?) to the one I\'m currently using, 5.2.13 ... problems attaching to the project, the project creating a new machine.

What is the currently recommended upgrade procedure?

4.19 was a special case, because it had everything in one piece.
Versions later than this have a \'two piece\' BOINC, so 4.19 had to be removed first.
It\'s only necessary to stop and exit from BOINC, and then download the new version and run it.
Of course, there are a few people whose computer wouldn\'t co-operate, and they had to start again, but there\'s always \'lemons\'.
So, as usual before making changes, make a backup first.
