I have been running one of the simulations for about 5 days, using the BOINC \"globe\" screensaver and I noticed that I was starting to get a curved line on the screen when running constant color backgrounds in applications, corresponding exactly to the position and size of the globe in the screensaver. Looking a bit more carefully - I can see ripples on the left of the screen that correspond to the left hand text on the screensaver.
I thought LCD screens didn\'t suffer from burn - but after 5 days your screensaver has left a lasting image on my screen
Some screensaver!

The screen saver is only for people who insist on one, and it\'s not intended to be a \'real\' screen saver; rather it\'s a project display, similar to that used by most distributed computing projects.
It has been recommended for several years now NOT to use it for this project, because it can severly slow down the processing of the model.
