Hi,

I seem to have a problem connecting the CPDN-server. The log shows:

This is the case for days now. Is there anything I can do to get the information of the running models to the CPDN-server?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Have you rebooted your PC within the 6 days? It sounds like your DNS cache still holds the old address (it changed a few days ago).

Thank you for your answer. I reboot the PC every day, so I think this cannot be the problem.

Bye for now,

You may want to upgrade to the newest Boinc CC. 5.x.x

Good idea to upgrade. Be sure to use Windoze Add/Remove feature to remove boinc 4.22 first. There was a major change in that version number sequence and failure to un-install would result in parts of the old version trashing the folder.

After you have 5.4.9 installed, it should not be necessary remove the old before installing a newer version.

Just wondering - why do I see 5.4.9 so often mentioned in this forum, when 5.4.11 has been available for several months now?

5.4.11 was only to fix a problem with new tactic used by one brand of AV.
Most people probably haven\'t bothered with it, and are still on 5.4.9

Pleased to see it Frederique. Best of luck -- and please remember backups.

Pwillener:
Another reason is that 5.4.9 is what people get if they download through the CPDN Board; it\'s necessary to go to boinc site to get 5.4.11. (Last weekend, the last of my machines was [finally] upgraded from 5.2.13 to 5.4.9. [Surprisingly, only one of my machines comes up with occasional reminders that a newer version is available, 5.4.11; none of the others do that.)

Thanks for the replies on 5.4.9 vs. 5.4.11 - all clear now. (I always downloaded from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php, and there are only release notes for 5.4).

One of the upload servers at Oxford has run out of space.
Just let BOINC keep retrying, while the Oxford people work on the problem.

Thanks. I\'ll send an email or PM to Milo (if that Forum is available, it wasn\'t yesterday), though he should have received notification from the server.

Your upload should have gone successfully to the next server on the list.

[Edit: Still can\'t connect to the CPDN discussion Boards.]

The file hadcm3ohc_2ar5_05655608_1_1.zip has been transfered.
The Trickle-up still working.
The main web site WWW.climateprediction.net is still down.

Thanks

I think they\'re doing maintenance work on the server at the Open University in Milton Keynes. That\'s where the phpBB forum is hosted.

But the trickles go to a different server in Oxford. The Oxford servers all seem to be running even if one did run out of space for a while.

Carl has fixed the server overflow problem by remote control.
