HDD failed - model lost

Crashed models automatically go back into the pool, though I suspect that models that had reached at least the first 40-year restart dump may be kept aside in case they can later be finished on another computer, rather than restarted from 1920. See the \"sticky\" thread on backups. In addition note that a) backups must only be taken when BOINC is not running; b) backups to another HD are the only way out in a case like yours.
