I don\'t understand how I\'ll be able to see a visualisation of my project. In addition to that, nothing happens when I click the \"Show Graphics\" button in the \"Tasks\" tab.

Do you have a model listed in the Tasks tab?
Does it say Running under status?
Did you click on the model to select it before clicking the Show graphics button?

And please click on Exit in the menu, then wait until the manager disappears, before shutting down Windows.
This is what has caused a previous one of your models to crash.
And you don\'t really have enough memory for this project. The amount shown indicates that you don\'t have a graphics card, just some display chips on the motherboard.
These use some of the system memory, something that often leads to models crashing when graph images are displayed.

For lots of help, hints, and tips on keeping the model running, have a look through the 4 README files here.
Especially the one on making backups.

Hi Sameeha,

It looks as if you and your friends have received 3 models, 1 yesterday and 2 today.

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=527737

So you\'ve reached your daily quota of 2 models and will have to wait until after midnight your time to get another. One crashed with a -1 and another with a -161 error code.

Your computer has a bit more than 300Mb of memory (RAM) which is a good deal less than the recommended minimum of 512Mb for stable operation. As I see it, you have several options:

*Add some extra memory to the computer (Les, will this sort of motherboard have a slot to add an extra memory card?)

*Process a different boinc project that\'s less demanding in this respect

*Continue with cpdn but disable the screensaver, don\'t maximise the globe window, make sure you suspend the model while you do any intensive work on the computer, and make frequent backups so that if your next model does crash, you can restore the backup and continue working on it.

If you decide to continue, you\'ll need to look at the READMEs Les pointed you to. In the Running the model README, the top tips.

And in the Crashes README, item #1 by Les about backups and #5 by Mike about avoiding crashes.

Members here can give extra advice about all of this.

I have hadcm3pbb_bae5_05800760_0 in the \"Tasks\" tab and it\'s running. Yes, I did click on the project before I clicked on the \"Show Graphics\" button.
Oh, OK, I\'ll remember to exit the manager before shutting down.
Do you mean that I don\'t have enough RAM memory for the project?
I do have a graphics card-ATI. I also have DirectX 9.0 installed.
(:D I\'m a computer game enthusiast myself!)

Sameeha

You memory is low for the type of machine you have, and the models. It will run, but you will not get the full graphics, etc. Minimum 512M, 768/1G would not hurt.
