I have the ‘Outline graphics’ discussed in other posts, where the globe in the graphics window is just a white outline on a black background. This seemed to coincide with the message about Sunday’s BBC1 programme. I restored to before the message appeared and stopped it accessing the internet until about 1pm Monday. The graphics were fine during this time. It now has the message again and the graphics have gone back to outline again. Is the out of date message going to be removed soon? Also, could this issue be run past the programmers for comment and, hopefully, be resolved before other messages are sent to the graphics? |

Hi, I find this happens to me sometimes, it seems to be random. I think it\'s when the model data isn\'t ready to display yet, so it just displays nothing (if I leave it for a while, then the graphics come back). Incidentally, it\'s a waste of CPU time to leave the screensaver on, I turn it off (set to \'blank\'), and then do \'show graphics\' when I want to see how things are getting on. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Hi Mike My model has run for 50 years with no problem, until the Sunday programme message appeared. It was ok after the restore until it communicated with the server and got the message again. This is what makes me think the events are linked. Also, a few other people reported the same effect at the same time. Would you run it past the programmers for their comments please? I take it from your comments that you don\'t see this a major problem and I don\'t need to restore? Like you, I don\'t use the graphic as a screensaver, I just show graphics to see how I\'m progressing. Regards Andy |

OK. I\'ve just reached the point where I could exit and backup. Then I shuffled my models to run BBC and cpdn. The problem that you\'re seeing is different to the usual white disk, which is no graphs loaded yet. It ONLY appears on the cpdn model, and, in my case at least, was just that the default options got changed. I don\'t know what you normally see but try: C (for clouds and surface) S (for rotation) and perhaps also L (to illuminate the full sphere) |

...just that the default options got changed. How does one change them back? |

I don\'t think that there\'s an option to restore the default, which is why I suggested the ones that I did. They are the options used by my BBC model, which wasn\'t affected. Press H to see more. |

I take it from your response that you are agreeing with AndyCheryl that this phenomenon has come about as a result of the latest scrolling message on the \"Show Graphics\" display. I await the outcome of the requested approach to the programmers for their comments with interest. |

I\'ve just posted a solution to this problem here. I think there has just been a reset of the default view in the process of changing the scrolling message to alert peolple to the results programme. |
