Does it matter that my swapfile is turned off?

Hi there, I only joined recently and my project seems to be running fine. I have 2G main memory and turned off the windows swapfile months ago. Just enquiring if BOINC could run into any trouble because of this. Thanks. |

Not unless you load memory-hungry programs, which would likely run at higher priority. Video editing, some games, etc., could cause grief. I think the conventional wisdom is to keep the Swapfile but to set max. and min. size limits the same.
