I have a couple other projects in BOINC besides cp, but BOINC will never stop running cp. I checked in my preferences, and switch applications is set to 60 minutes. If I suspend cp, one of the other projects will start running. But, if I then resume cp, the other project will go back to \"waiting\" and cp will start again.

i don\'t know how to fix this, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Perhaps reading the following 2 sections of the BOINC Wiki will help:
Work Scheduler
Earliest Deadline First

Basically, if you DON\'T run cpdn as a project, then your Patience setting can be low - a few days to a week.
If you DO run cpdn, then your Patience setting needs to be high - a month or two.
