I\'ve been running CPDN for just a short while (couple weeks). I\'ve currently got two HadCM3 models running, one for about 90 hours and another for about 40 hours and the estimated time remaining is like 2500 hours.

Is this typical? Seems like something is not right.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Yes, that\'s about right.
These are huge models, even on the older (now obsolete), slab ocean models, which only ran for 3 lots of 15 years.
The TCMs run for 160 years.

Lots of info about climate modeling and this projects aims here, mostly in the first 4 subsections.

Good luck Christopher - seems a bit daunting when you start, but just think of the sense of achievement when you complete a model!

Best wishes,
