In Ian\'s absence, I have set up the team at GenLife where the study is of the evolution of cyber-creatures. It appears to have been on the go since June so I don\'t know how it managed to slip through the usually efficient new-project-capture net.
As usual, I have no idea what they\'re actually doing but the admin is very responsive, which is always a good sign.

Well done Ray! Happy to report that the Scottish forum is back on-line. Haven\'t so far heard from Ian, so I don\'t know whether he\'s back home or has sorted it remotely from wherever he is (my guess would be California!)

New member jgrzeb is now showing on our BOINC overall team list and has joined the Scotland team in one of his/her other projects too - thanks jgrzeb and we hope to see you in the Scottish forum sometime, now that it\'s working again. I\'m sure we\'ve all missed it!

Congrats to dtkirk/labrat, who yesterday completed his 13th 160-year CPDN model ;-)

More congrats to adempster, who has now completed his 23rd full-length CPDN model! He has others due to complete soon too - and Edward Wright\'s 10th long model is not too far off completion either. Good luck with them, chaps!

All the team Scotland model stats can be seen here and here - thanks again to IanM for his great stats pages.

Thanks - too bad my other 160 year model died in 2060 or so.

That machine is only running one model now as it\'d due to finish in about a week, and then I\'ll upgrade to Boinc 6.

Commiserations on the one that died so close to completion, Edward - but I assume the project will still regard it as successful since it got so far, and the science is what we\'re interested in, right? ;-)

A warm, if somewhat belated, team Scotland welcome to torry_loon, who recently joined the team in CPDN. The delay in welcoming you was because our team leader, IanB, is currently on an extended leave of absence (back soon though, I devoutly hope!) and I couldn\'t work out who the new member was, because we\'ve already got a torry_loon in WCG (probably the same person) and also a torryloon in the Scottish forum (who may or may not be the same person), so the name didn\'t strike me as a new one when I looked at the team list. Many thanks to Iain Inglis for helping me out (again!)

Not having much luck with HADCM3 models: two on this machine have now crashed. Because of an earlier CPDN Beta restore from backup on that machine, the tasks are marked as \'client detached\' and nothing then appears in \'stderr out\' - so I\'ve no idea what caused the crashes. They were both rather hot models. :-(

Oh, commiserations, Iain - still, you are the team\'s champion climate modeller in terms of models completed - 160 counting all the different types, last time I looked!!!!!!!! ;-)

Many congrats to Edward Wright and adempster on their recent completion of 160-year models - it\'s always a great feeling to get to the end of one of those!

By the way, the Torry loon in the Scottish forum is apparently a different person from the one who\'s recently joined the team in CPDN - so it would be nice to hear from the team member too! ;-)

Welcome home to our fearless leader, IanB, who has been away for a looooooooong time! I gather he\'s still sleeping off his jetlag, but he\'s already crunching again and I hope he\'ll soon officially welcome the new members who joined the team in his absence ;-)

Many congrats to labrat, who yesterday completed yet another 160-year CPDN model - sorry I failed to notice how many long models that makes, but I did notice that it\'s his 50th climate model in total. Very well done, Doug! ;-)

The relevant page from our team statistics here lists individual counts of completed long models.
Tip: sort on the completed 160 year models column.

So, adempster is well ahead on 25 (20% of team total!) with labrat/dtkirk now tied with rrodway on 14.
Note that the team \"lost\" 13 completed 160 year models a few weeks ago when a leading cruncher left to help
setup a new team. Hopefully he may return (to boost our depleting credits/RAC + model counts)?

Cheers, Ian

Despite the cold outside (and it is pretty chilly here today, brrrr!), a warm team Scotland welcome to Nick, who has recently joined the CPDN project and our team. Welcome, Nick, happy crunching and we hope to meet you soon in one of the forums. ;-)

Oh and, by the way, I haven\'t been paying attention to this for a while, but the team is now well past 22,000,000 total credits in CPDN and 36,000,000 in BOINC overall. ;-)

Happy New Year everybody!

Sorry haven\'t been around for a bit, just catching up now, so congrats to the following, who completed 160-year models in December:

Gilbert (2)
talister (2)
Rory (2)
dtkirk

Well done to Gilbert in particular - he\'s completed lots of different climate models but these are his first full-length ones.

And congrats to our team leader, scottishwebcamslive.com, who hasn\'t completed a full-length model recently BUT, on Hogmanay, he reached the grand total of 100 climate models, including all the different types.

And also to hagar, who recently passed the half-century in total climate models.

All of which can be seen from the link provided in iansm\'s post - thanks again for all the work you do on your wonderful stats, Ian ;-)

More congrats to Iain Inglis, who completed yet another 160-year model (his 11th) on 4 Jan. Iain has now completed a total of 166 climate models, counting the different CPDN models plus SAP and BBC!

And team Scotland has now accumulated just over 23,000,000 credits in CPDN alone - well done everybody!

Team Scotland have now completed over 1000 CPDN Models.

The total includes all completed models obtained from members\' CPDN results pages.

Including BBC (101) and SAP (87), almost 1200 climate project models have now been completed.

Well done everyone!

Cheers

Congrats to talister who has just completed his 14th long CPDN model - his 153rd climate model counting all the different types! Well done Tim.

Oh, and I\'ve just noticed that team Scotland has passed 38 million credits in BOINC overall since I last looked, so well done everybody! ;-)
