My CPID for climate prediction is incorrect. My other projects are all the same. How do I change the CPID for climateprediction to the CPID of the others.

Hi Sorceress, welcome to the forum.

Did you use the same email address for cpdn as for the other projects? You need the same email address for all of them for everything to synchronise.

Allow network activity for boinc. In the boinc manager Projects tab highlight a project and then click Update. Do this for every project listed, even the projects you\'re not currently crunching. The CPIDs should all synchronise to your most recent one, which I\'d guess is cpdn.

One little \'gotcha\' to add - if you\'re running with multiple machines, you need the machine running CPDN to also be running one of your other projects.

I'm a volunteer and my views are my own.

CPDN is my newest project and *yes* they all have the same email address. The reason I\'m posting is my signatures are not including cpdn points I\'ve earned. Upon checking I found my cpid for cpdn is different from the rest of my projects. I\'ve updated my projects many times and still the different cpid\'s. Is there a way for me to change the cpid for cpdn to the cpid of my other projects?

My last post is in error. Upon rechecking my projects I found I used .com in my email address instead of .net. I have changed them all. Hopefully that will fix things. Thank you all for your help.

\"You\" can\'t change your cpid.
These are created at random by each project for each person who joins a project.
This is an \'internal\' cpid.
When the project creates it\'s export data, an external cpid is created, which the stats sites can use to synchronise the data for a person (based on the email name), from each of their projects.

To get them identical:
1) You have to have your email address the same on all of your projects.
2) You have to return data for a work unit from each project, to it\'s server.
3) You then have to wait a few days until each of the projects has created it\'s export data for the external stats sites.
4) You then have to wait until the external stats sites get the export data from each project and run an update.

Most of this is just being patient. However it can be speeded up a bit by \'talking\' to each project:
A) In the Projects tab, click on a project name.
B) Click on the Update button.
C) Repeat A) & B) for each project.
D) Wait, as per 3) & 4) in the first section.
