I completed my latest piece of work over a week ago, but nothing new has been sent to my computer to work on ?

Have we completed all the work for the project ?

Locate the link to the Server Status on the left side of this page. Click it and see that there are many thousands of models awaiting download. In other words, we have not completed all the work. Also, as I write this, all of the download servers seem to be up and running so that\'s likely not the problem either.

Is your computer requesting more work? If it doesn\'t request more then it won\'t get more. In BOINC manager, on the Projects tab, highlight CPDN then click Update. Then go to the Messages tab and see the last 2 messgaes. I bet it says something like

climateprediction.net Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 0 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks

If it says \"requesting 0 seconds of work\" then it\'s not requesting more work.

If you click on the project name in the BOINC Manager Projects tab, what does the third button down in the Commands section say?

If it says, \"Allow new tasks\", then you have to press that to get more work.

Alternatively it may be that no new work is being downloaded until some time has been devoted to running other projects.

Thanks for the responses guys,

Iain\'s last comment hit it on the head - I had dedicated a couple of weeks solely to CP to ensure I finished within a certain timeframe and it must have been catching up with the other projects - once I suspended them both, another CP piece appeared and started ...

cheers

Best not to micro-manage BOINC like this; you\'ll just make it worse for later.
Let it get on with things; it\'s been designed to know how to handle different length work units OVER THE LONG TERM.
