Sometimes an error occurs when downloading a task from the CPDN server to the client computer. The task then appears in the list of tasks for that computer, but never appears in the BOINC Manager. This has happened to me twice. There is nothing that can be done to get that task again or to remove the entry from the list of tasks. The computer has a limit on the number of tasks that can be downloaded each day, but after a short time the computer will request more work from the server and some new tasks will be downloaded.
