Here is a summary of my position and current productivity in CPDN, as reported by BOINCstats.
Projekt Month Week Day Per month
CPDN -1675 +58 +527 0

How is it possible for me to rise 527 places in the ranking in a single day when I am not accumulating any CPDN units at present?

Hi Michael

You crunched one slab model to completion and got 6805 credits for it. So have hundreds of other CPDN crunchers. I expect Willy has his program configured to distribute people randomly or in blocks when they all have the same number of credits. What goes up must come down. Look at all the members. Well, that page is just a few of the people with 6805.

If you really want to rise above this particular crowd you\'ll have to come back and crunch another model!

Same with me on the old BBC project. I finished there on 3 Jun 2007, yet 3 days ago BOINCstats said that I\'d gone up 38 places. Then, in the last 2 days, it said that I\'d gone down 4 places and then down 34 places.

It\'s all just deck chair shuffling.

The stats sites (and project stats pages) cannot have several people with identical credits on the same position.

So if 10 others have exactly the same credits that you have crunched, your position will always be somewhere(!) between the first and the last of those 11

They should count like

100
101
101
101
101
101
106

(with 5 people having the same credits in this example)

I did that once for a Gauntlet (not CPDN), not too hard to implement.

Thanks everyone for the good answers. I\'m not \'worried\' about my position, just wanted to understand what was happening.
