Can anyone explain why two days ago I had 317,271 credits with CPDN and today I only have 303,394? The \"Show user total\" graph in BOINC Mgr is going down for CPDN! Did we find the Ponzi scheme on credits? :) |

I have the same problem on the Statistics graph down from 687k on today to 674k. This is 4k less than the total 17 days ago!!!! And on the \'Your Account\' option \"Account data\" page, the Total credit at bottom of page reads 687,889, at the 674,568. What is the reason for this? The Average figures are also different (but I treat those as rubbish and useless anyway). Keith [P.S. Is this also something to do with tasks/results being \"archived off\" after the new server was set up?] |

A few minutes ago I completed a workunit, reported the result, and LOST 7,136 credits off my project total of 323,223. If anyone sees them, please send them back to me. Congratulations on a successful database server upgrade. Best wishes:) |

A few minutes ago I completed a workunit, reported the result, and LOST 7,136 credits off my project total of 323,223. If anyone sees them, please send them back to me. That\'s interesting. I lost 13,321 credits out of 687,889 down to 674,568. We both lost roughly 2% of the total. Â [But I notice that DJSFox lost 4.6% of his total, which is much higher a proportion] I wonder, will we get these credits back? Or will we be told they were allocated incorrectly and should be deducted? Keith |

On my account page I see 2 contrasting figures: Total credit 109,311 and in Projects in which tullio is participating 111,203, which corresponds to the diagram in my BOINC manager. Tullio |

Similar situation here. The \"Projects in which ... is participating\" figure (which comes from an external stats site) matches my BOINCstats values: 2,474,016.45, which it says was taken from an xml file timed at 2009-08-12 23:15:17 GMT. Before that, I had 2,468,767.65, so last night 5,248.80 were added - that\'s about right, I usually do something over 2,500 per day. But this morning my total is - well, you can read it for yourself to the left. That\'s down almost 50,000. And as noted elsewhere, my (totally ficticious) RAC is nowhere near either the 2,600 it should be, or the 7,100 it was before the credit scripts were switched off prior to the server switchover. |

Same problem here, down from 31328.44 to 29345.80, a loss of 1982.64 credits, roughly 6.3%. I was rather shocked to learn that the number of credits can be negative... |

Not to diminish your concerns, BUT, with the negative production ... Our team stats page is HILARIOUS! |

Same problem here. Lost maybe 10 percent. What\'s going on? |

Same problem here, I went from 143K down to 136K approximately. The interesting thing is the the system shows two sets of totals on the server, one the 143K number the the other the 136K number. So someone has made a change somewhere on the server ... Please explain and correct the problem with the correct numbers. Thanks |

Same problem here, I went from 143K down to 136K approximately. If I look under your name here it tells me you\'ve got 142,957 credits. If I go to your account it says the same. The old exported XML-data taken from the BOINC server beneath the CPDN-data sows less, but that\'s perfectly normal. I got a huge jump in my credits since yesterday, from 484K to 507K, I was about to post this quite happyly until I saw this bunch of posts complaining about lost credits. I\'ll rejoice nevertheless ;) Hurray, I got lot\'s of credits granted since yesterday! Grüße vom Sänger |

Same with me folks. I had approximately 60K yesterday and approximately 52K today. A loss of 8K for me is about 13% or so. I\'m peeved that 13% of my time spent crunching is deemed to have not occurred. |

As I mentioned earlier, my total credits (one figure anyway) dropped to 674,568 from 687,889. It has now remarkably shot up to an impossible 708,629. It is not an overstatement to say that something is wrong here. First a drop of 13.3k in credits, now replaced by an increase of 20.7k credits. My estimate is that my credits at the end of today ought to be 688.6k (NEVER as much as 708.6k). If the credits lost were lost in the archived results, maybe many have been recovered from there that should not have been??? There must be a simple reason for these anomalies. I am intrigued to know what they might be. As the server has intermittently been off line, I am sure it is receiving full attention. Keith    [P.S. Could it be connected with the \"bumping up\" the CPDN credits by 5% to bring them in line with SETI?] |

As I mentioned earlier, my total credits (one figure anyway) dropped to 674,568 from 687,889. I had a look at my results, and a lot of old results finally got purged from the database. That\'s very fine, so I could delete those obsolete computers from my list. Of the results from my current computer some got purged as well, but most are still there. But all have more credits rewarded as a few days ago. HADSM went from 6805 to 7145, Mid.Holocene from 9074 to 9527. 18 MidHol and 14 Slab means (14 * 340) + (18 * 453) = 12914 That\'s a bit more than half of my new credits. Edit: F***, now that I gained 23K credits in one day I lost 7 places in the ranks, expected something else :D From 2486 to 2493. A lot of other people must have gained considerably as well. the only thing I can think of is somehow when I did the live archive dump the other day, a few old results got lost, causing some of these 1-2% losses. but I needed to bump up the cpdn credits since as Thyme Lawn pointed out we\'re actually \"under-crediting\" when compared to other boinc projects. So a 5% boost on that seemed about right. So you may have noticed a drop of 1-2% (when the database archive happened) followed by a 5% increase. CPDN credits have never been an exact science (sort of like climate modelling ;-).... |

Mine has dropped from 17,329 to 13,839 and this looks like just over a 20% drop and no increase yet I Managed to get Boinc to 200,000 yesterday and was chuffed only to see it down to 199,000 now |

I\'ve now posted about credits in the News thread. Top of Number Crunching section. I hope that provides more detail. Cpdn news |

I\'ve now posted about credits in the News thread. Top of Number Crunching section. I hope that provides more detail. \"There is an inexplicable loss of a small % of our total credits. Different percentages for different members but in no case very large.\" Small? Double digits isn\'t small. |

This evening, my credits went up to 318,563, effectively 1292 credits higher than 3 days ago. Note: I have not crunched any models since the database server downtime last Sunday. Thanks for the hard work, Carl. I agree with mo.v that if, for most users, the credit lost this week is recalculated today (or perhaps tomorrow too), then we should be fine as is. Everyone who posted here should check their total project credit tomorrow (Friday) and see if there is a change. If so, see how much compared with what you usually get in 1 day. |
