Hello, my BOINC client is saying [...] 2010-06-18 08:55:38 [climateprediction.net] Task hadcm3ivolc_l4i2_2000_80_26002286_2 is 49.20 days overdue. 2010-06-18 08:55:38 [climateprediction.net] You may not get credit for it. Consider aborting it. [...] This is of course because my laptop, once a fast one, is now to be considered very slow as I am running the client several hours a day. My question is if it is of any *scientific* value for the project to continue (about 70 of 80 model years finished), or if I should abort. I don't give too much attention to the credit points Regards, Marcus |

That is a standard BOINC message, and only applies to other projects. So DON'T abort it. The data will still be accepted by this project. There aren't any more of those really long models. The current ones only take a week or two. (On a approx 2GHz computer running 24/7.) While you're waiting for it to finish, have a look at your prefs on the project site, and make sure that either NO specific model is selected, or that you select one of those now available. (See the Server Status page, or Applications page, in the blue menu to the left of here for a list.) Backups: Here |
