When I was looking through the workunit for Crystalsys's HadSM iceworld to check whether any other members had hit the same problem I came across this computer: Intel quad with Vista and an up-to-date Boinc version. 2GB RAM for each core. This HadSM crashed very early with exit code -177 and the error message 'Maximum memory exceeded'. That's an unusual error. This computer has plenty of RAM and HadSM isn't a heavy memory-guzzler. Will this error have happened because the owner changed the default Boinc settings and allocated far too little memory to Boinc? Cpdn news |
