between my 2 multicore WinXP machines I run 8 projects under BOINC version 6.12.34. only CPDN has a problem, and it has been chronic for 7 weeks.
Files for hadam3p models for _eu and _pnw, all the partials _x.zip and the final _xx.zip remain in cache. Upload attempts manual and auto will begin and show a common initial 2.02 mb of any size file (4 to 34 Mb), then stop increasing, while the elapsed time and the speed continue to increment for another 5 or so minutes. the status text then changes "retry in [2 to 11] hours", rarely adding an error message of "HTTP error" or "servers may be down" in the event log. Inserting tweaks by cc_config.xml for transfer timeout and limiting xfer files per project, per year past forum postings, no help. After 7 years of Taken for Granted, why is this a problem now? Where do I look next?

Try the idea I posted here.

It's become a problem because something has changed on your computer(s). Perhaps a new version of BOINC.

Your computers are hidden, so we have to make guesses at what's wrong. Or leave you to figure it out for yourself.

The only guess that I have, is that it may be similar to what was eventually found to be the problem in this thread.

is BOINC 6.12.34 supposed to be the stable platform for x86 machines? distributed when?
looked for the "handler" variants and the truncated url's last week per moderators' instructions on senior board. no joy. when all else fails,... For both machines I'll abort the wu's, remove the project, purge the directory and registry of CPDN/BOINC links, sulk and pout. thank you for your attentions.
