I notice that climateprediction.net pages show my participation in World Community Grid. I also do work in seti@home. How can I include these results in the system here? I assume it has to do with the participation id string, but I can't find where to enter it for the seti results. |

Someone with more interest in points may contradict me on this but my understanding is that each project has it's own table and that there is also an overall BOINC ranking showing work done on all projects added together. Also some projects because of the way they are set up give more points per hour of cpu time on a given computer than others. So if I understand your question correctly, you can't get your Community Grid points added to your CPDN tally except in the overall BOINC rankings table. |

It is not so much 'added to' as consolidated. My home page here shows climate prediction work and community grid work. And pages alude to cross-project tabulation. How can I include seti@home work in this? |

There is no explicit action that you can take to make other projects appear. Other projects are linked implicitly by having the same account details, which is essentially your e-mail address (not your username). Other users are showing SETI credits, so the system appears to work. I assume the reason that your SETI credits are not showing is because you are using a different account on SETI - i.e. a different e-mail address. |

Thanks. I am also using two different computers, with seti on one and climate prediction on the other. I have read that that might be a problem as well. |

Not a problem if, as Iain wrote, you use the same email address. There are a few stats sites which gather numbers from all projects. You could check your record there. "We have met the enemy and he is us." -- Pogo Greetings from coastal Washington state, the scenic US Pacific Northwest. |

The main thing with multiple computers on one project, is to sign up using Existing user for computers 2 onwards. But with multiple computers, you MUST also have a link connecting projects. So for 2 computers and 2 projects, one of them MUST be connected to both projects, and run at least one work unit from both projects. I'd suggest putting SETI on the cpdn computer, running one of their short WUs, and then setting SETI to No new work. Then wait. Because of the way that the process works, there can be quite a delay to get all projects showing together, because the stats sites do their imports in their own good time. And the list of projects at the bottom of people's account pages comes from netsoft-online, another external site. Backups: Here |
