I was an early adopter of the boinc technology and upon reviewing my stats I found a couple of accounts that are certainly mine. How can I merge my 3 ClimatePrediction accounts? This is "an oldie but a goodie." My memory has two threads on this one. If you know the logon ID for the old accounts, the email address could be changed to the latest. (The difference explains the different accounts.) The other memory thread tells me it can't be done. (The board thinks your accounts belong to three different people.) This is a topic with a long history but I didn't find a reference. Perhaps the discussions were on the (defunct) PHP board. I think the only recourse is to pick the account you want to use and go with it. One of the other moderators, or other participants, with fresher memories might shed light on my darkness. P.S. I don't understand all your references, given that boinc didn't join the fray until mid-2004. Did you run CPDN on a P-3? Yes, Astro is correct. One person, one account. Your email address is your unique identifier, because IT'S unique. If you want to keep an account that doesn't use your current email address, but are blocked by that email address already existing, then you can just change the unwanted account's email to something random and non existent. But you'll need enough info to be able to log into that old account first, which a lot of people seem to forget over the years. PS You asked about merging accounts 6 years ago here. Backups: Here |

OK... I just wanted 'em merged for nostalgia. Thanks. |
