I've added Climate Prediction to BOINC (7.2.42 - Mac OS X) but I keep receiving an error "Communication deferred" and haven't received any work units. Two other projects are working. Is there anything I need to do to get started? |

I've added Climate Prediction to BOINC (7.2.42 - Mac OS X) but I keep receiving an error "Communication deferred" and haven't received any work units. Two other projects are working. Is there anything I need to do to get started? Those aren�t error messages. The reason that you are not getting any new work from CPDN is that there is no new work available at this time. The �Communication Deferred� message is also normal. In order to stop computers looking for new work from overloading the servers there is a 1 hour back off period built into the system. After each attempt to download work the computer is prevented from asking again for 1 hour. When your computer is in this back off period you will see the �Communication Deferred� message. |

Also for any new to cpdn reading this, do not click on the update button to try and get around the one hour delay, if clicked within the hour this merely restarts the hour. |
