Hi, Yesterday and today I have had a series of notices (5 or 6) demanding more space - lots more space. today's one says: Notice from server UK Met Office HadAMP3P-HadRM3P Australia New Zealand needs 1269.35 MB more disk space. You currently have 638.05 available and it needs 1907.35MB. The previous messages were the same, but for slightly different project names. the properties box says disk usage 3.37GB Please tell me what is going on. |

Hi Carrie Open BOINC DATA folder and then the projects folder then the climate prediction.net folder, Look to see if there are any folders in there for models that have crashed or finished. On my linux box the cm3s short models leave their folders behind even if they finish correctly. Any model that crashes is likely to leave its folder behind. You can safely delete these, just make sure you don't delete any from your running tasks. Some tasks can leave as much as a GB of data behind and if you have several of them it can soon use up the allocated space. Go to Tools - Computing preferences - Disk and Memory Usage and see if that helps. |
